Bored of Summer Lipstick? Mix it up!

If you have half of tube left and the shade’s just not doing it for you anymore, here’s how to lyer it with another one to create a gorgeous shade is darker first, top with the lighter lipstick and mush lips together.

  • Mauve + pink = berry
"The mauve gives the hot pink purple tones", explains makeup pro Linda Mason, "creating a lip color that looks great with fall’s purple clothes".
  • Brick + nude = rust
Anytime you swipe nude over a darker color, you get a softer, daytime-friendly shade.
  • Red + coral = poppy
Surprise! Mixing two reds doesn’t equal a wrong: It can create a gorgeous, tropical redpink. Says Mason, "I love this cambo with a late-summer tan".
