Contrast this with Olive oil which can only penetrate up to 25 percent% into the hair shaft, while coconut oil can penetrate 90 percent. Both hair oils are beneficial in maintaining hair health, but in different ways.

  2. Reduce Hair Loss - Studies show that the continuous use of coconut oil could reduce hair loss by as much as 50 percent. Apply it warm on the roots and tips. For best results, leave overnight and then shampoo in the morning. It also strengthens hair follicles. It is beneficial in thickening hair and in helping to make hair curly and full.
