It is found in research that children born by Cesarean Section are more Obese than those born naturally through Vagina.
This study is controversial. In a new study Brazilian researchers found that more than 2,000. 23-25 year old children, 15% of those delivered through C-Section were Obese as compare to 10% of other children born naturally. The research team considered other factors too that have the connection with the C-Section including heavier birth weight, income and education level of mothers.
It was found that mothers with high education had the higher level of C-Sections. The Dr. Helena Goldani and his colleagues say that even considering these factors, 58% increase is seen in the risk of adulthood Obesity. The researcher says that there is possibility that C-Section increases the risk of Obesity at the later stage in life. This is due to the reason that infants who are born through C-Section could not take the beneficial Bacteria in the birth canal and they take longer time to accumulate the Bifidobacteria and other Microbes that could influence their Metabolism.
