The secret lives of hollywood bodies

Read on as these famous celebrities share their secrets with us...

Kim Kardashian

Recently chosen as the proud owner of the World's Hottest Derriere, Kim talks about what makes her so fit at 30.

So, where does that amazing rear come from?
Kim: Well, I'm half Armenian, so the butt really comes from my dad's side of the family. It's, er, quite well-rounded, so you do have to work out more. I do squats and lunges. I try to do whatever I can to work out. It's all real though.

We hear you love junk food...how do you fit that into your diet plan?
Kim: I don't deny myself completely when it comes to eating out. If I feel like a milk shake, I have one. I also stick to the quick-trim diet and detox supplements to stay in shape.

How do you spread your meals through the day?
Kim: A typical day consists of oatmeal with bananas for breakfast. Lunch is usually salad with grilled chicken and Pinkberry yoghurt with fruit and granola. Before dinner, if I get the munchies, I snack om carrots and low-cal ranch dressing. Dinner is fish and vegetables. I also have green tea before finally hitting the snooze button at night.

You must have a killer exercise regime. What do you do?
Kim: I do a cardio workout three to five times a week, which means lots of running on the treadmill or jogging for about 30 minutes. I focus on my lower body with weights to keep my thighs and butt toned. Round it off with an arms and legs workout and stomach crunches before stretching, and I am red-carpet ready.

You've clearly embraced your curves and it's paid off, but why do you think some women struggle to come to terms with how their bodies are?
Kim: I think people just have to understand you don't really have a choice. Obviously, you're born with your own body type. I mean, you do have a choice in the way you need to take care of yourself-work out, eat healthy and do the best you can for you. But when it comes to body-type, I know I can never be that stick-skinny girl. I can never be tall. You need to accept how you are and then just work out how to make that your best you.

How are you enjoying living in New York, having been a California girl for so long?
Kim: I will always be a California girl, but I must say there is no energy like there is in New York. I'm such a workaholic and I just get so much done out here. I love it.

What about all the New York food?
Kim: Well I have got to know the pizza here really well. I have probably gained four kilos living in New York! I can't find a gym, I just see pizza and hotdogs everywhere.
