"Make a centre parting, then put your hair in big rollers and set for 30 minutes. Imagine wearing an Alice band and backcomb the roots of all the hair behind the band with a bristle brush (ensuring a soft, tufty result).

Gather your hair along the sides and over your head, including the hair you didn't backcomb, while leaving out some wisps along the face.
