Strategically tweezing your brows can give you a stunning-in-seconds makeover, and the secret, experts say, is tailoring your arches to your face shape. Our guide shows you how.
Square-shape face
The widths of your forehead, cheeks, and jawline (which is well defined) are pretty much equal.
The sexiest brow: One with a gentle rounded arc. Because your bone structure is sharp, your brows should be angle-free to soften it, says Ranny Gafni, a brow expert in New York.
If your brows are straight or overly angular: Pluck a row of hairs along the bottom of the entire brow and a second row along the outside bottom edge to taper the tail. "This helps the brow look rounder," says Gafni. Fill in sparse sports with a thin layer of brow powder (in a shade lighter than your hair). "Unlike a pencil, which lets you etch with its point, powder creates a subtle velvet-like finish," says Gafni. Blend colour with a clean mascara brush.
Brows already rounded?: Here's how to keep them neat: first, tweeze stray, random hairs that fall outside your brow line. Then repeat the powder trick at left for extra softness.
