How do make-up artists create a flawlessly blended look? What rules they follow while applying make-up? Try out these special tips.
Foundation: Massage your face with a moisturizer or a glow serum for about five minutes before applying foundation. This increases blood circulation lending skin a fresh look. Finish with a cheek tint to get dewy skin. -Ojas Rajani, make-up artist, L'Oreal Paris
Blush: Use a big round blush and start from under the cheekbone and go upwards. Follow up with a bit of shimmer for a silky smooth finish. -Clint Fernandes, make-up artist, Lakme.
Lips: Fill your lips with a lip liner that matches your skin tone or the lipstick you plan to wear. Apply lip colour over that, wait a while; then blot with powder and tissue to take the creaminess out; put the colour again for longer durability. -Vimi Joshi, senior artist, M.A.C Cosmetics.
Eyes: To make eye shadow last longer, start with a concealer before applying the shadow and liner. Lightly dab some compact on it for greater durability. For more intensity, apply the eye shadow with a damp applicator. To accentuate the shape of your eyes, apply kajal on the inside of your upper eyelid. -Cory Walia, celebrity make-up expert, Lakme.
Highlighter/Bronzer: To contour your face, apply a light coloured highlighter on the cheekbone and a darker bronzer just below. Blend with a fluffy brush to give face a toned look. Use under the brow bone to open up your eyes. -Stafford Braganza, head make-up artist, Lancome India.
